DIY Bunting Nursery Art

Before Luna was born I had the itch to craft for her nursery (nesting anyone?) Here is another easy DIY nursery art piece.DIY Bunting Nursery ArtYou will need:

  • 12″x 12″ Canvas
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Paint in desired color
  • String
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Glue (I used Elmer’s)
  • Scissors
  • Scrapbook Glitter Stickers
  • ruler or measuring tape

The first thing I did was place the painter’s tape in stripes 1 inch apart. I used my ruler for this.DIY Bunting Nursery Art Paint the canvas not covered in tape to create you stripes. DIY Bunting Nursery Art  Once the paint is completely dry, pull off the tape off carefully. You can tell there are a couple of places where the paint got into the white striped parts. I made a point to try and cover the bad spots with the bunting in the next stepsDIY Bunting Nursery Art  Cut your scrapbook paper into triangles. I used a couple of different patterns. Tape or Glue the string to the back of the canvas at both ends stretched where you want the bunting to run. Glue the triangles over the string so it appears the triangles are hanging from the string.DIY Bunting Nursery Art  I pulled the Glitter letters to spell Luna’s name and placed those in the empty space.DIY Bunting Nursery Art  Put your art in a frame and hang!  DIY Bunting Nursery Art
