Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed Carrots

Last weekend we picked up these HUGE and beautiful carrots from Grandma & Grandpa Cowley’s Garden in Utah and we decided we had to dress them up and make these delicious Brown Sugar Sea Salt Carrots.Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed CarrotsYou will need:

  • 1 pound of Carrots
  • One sticks of Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Parsley Flakes

Peel your carrots. If your carrots are as big and awesome as these, you’ll also want to cut them up so they are smaller and will cook faster. If you’re using baby carrots you can move straight on to the next step.Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed Carrots Cook your carrots in boiling water(boiling is a weird word btw)  for 8-10 minutes or until the carrots are soft.Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed CarrotsOnce the carrots are soft drain the carrots and leave them in your colander for a minute while you make the glaze.Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed CarrotsMelt one stick of butter in the same pot you boiled your carrots in, once the butter is melted add your 1/2 cup of brown sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the cinnamon and stir until incorporated. Put the carrots back into the pot with the brown sugar glaze and stir so that the glaze completely covers the carrots.Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed Carrots Add the Sea Salt, Pepper and parsley flakes to the carrots and stir to cover the carrots in the new seasonings. That’s it! Simple and VERY delicious. There were no leftover carrots in this house after this house.Brown Sugar Sea Salt Glazed Carrots

We had Grandma & Grandpa Cowley’s carrots in our beef stew yesterday and I wish I had added more, they went very quickly. Thank you for sharing!
