This mint oreo fudge is so sweet and fun to make! Very festive for a holiday party, and the kids love them.
What you will need:
Semi sweet chocolate chips
2 blocks Philadelphia cream cheese
Hand held mixer
gallon size ziploc bags
First you will need to add your oreos into a gallon size ziploc bag. Make sure to just start with one oreo bag at a time.
Let all of the air out of the ziploc bag and close it up.Then you are going to lay it flat and start crushing the oreos with a rolling pin until they are finely ground.
Now pour the oreos into a large mixing bowl and add only block of the room temp. cream cheese at a time.
Start mixing with your hand held mixer until thoroughly mixed together. Then add in other crushed oreos and cream cheese block. Do the same thing with it.
Scoop the mixture into a melon scooper and put on your baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Then place in the refrigerator for one hour, or you can place it in the freezer for 20 minutes. Then remove from refrigerator or freezer. Take your bag of semi sweet and pour in microwave safe bowl. Add a little bit of milk and put in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute. Take out and stir. This should have a creamy consistency.
Dip your oreo balls into the chocolate until fully covered then place them back on your cookie sheet.
Put your candy canes into a ziploc bag and crush them like you did the oreos.
Sprinkle the crushed candy canes onto the chocolate dipped fudge balls. Put back in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes or until firm. Remove them from the fridge and they are ready to plate and serve!
