Oreo Ice Cream Roll

Oreo Ice Cream RollI am obsessed with Oreo everything! I saw on facebook that at one point Oreo made an ice cream roll that was covered in Oreo cookie crumbles and my first thought was I NEED to have that. After a quick Google session I came to find out they no longer sell this in stores. I knew I was just going to have to make it myself! This was really simple and DELICIOUS. Everyone who tried it at our Thanksgiving dinner loved it, I should have made two!Oreo Ice Cream Roll Here’s what you will need:

  • 1 Package of Oreo Cookies
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • Ice Cream in Desired flavor (I went with Vanilla)

First thing you need to do is crush up your Oreo cookies. I put one sleeve of Oreo’s in a gallon sized bag at a time. Oreo Ice Cream Roll  And then I crushed them with a rolling pin. You can also use a food processor. Oreo Ice Cream Roll  You want to make the Oreo into little crumbs like this. Add your butter at this point and mix together with a fork.Oreo Ice Cream Roll  Lay your buttery Oreo crumbs out on a cookie sheet and put in the freezer for 20 minutes.Oreo Ice Cream Roll  Once the Cookie crumbs have cooled scoop out your ice cream into a line right in the middle of the cookie crumbs.Oreo Ice Cream Roll  Cover your ice ream with the Oreo crumbs by pressing them against the ice cream. Put your ice cream roll back in the freezer for at least ten minutes and then cut into slices and serve!Oreo Ice Cream Roll

  1. Put Oreo cookies in a gallon sized bag and crush with a rolling pin until finely crumbled.
  2. Add 4 Tablespoons of butter to the cookie crumbs and mix with a fork.
  3. Spread the Oreo crumbs on a cookie sheet and place in freezer for 20 minutes.
  4. Scoop Ice Cream into the center of your rolled out cooled sheet in a line.
  5. Cover the ice cream with cookie crumbs
  6. Place in the freezer for at least 10 minutes
  7. Cut into slices and serve!
