I am obsessed with Oreo everything! I saw on facebook that at one point Oreo made an ice cream roll that was covered in Oreo cookie crumbles and my first thought was I NEED to have that. After a quick Google session I came to find out they no longer sell this in stores. I knew I was just going to have to make it myself! This was really simple and DELICIOUS. Everyone who tried it at our Thanksgiving dinner loved it, I should have made two! Here’s what you will need:
- 1 Package of Oreo Cookies
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- Ice Cream in Desired flavor (I went with Vanilla)
First thing you need to do is crush up your Oreo cookies. I put one sleeve of Oreo’s in a gallon sized bag at a time. And then I crushed them with a rolling pin. You can also use a food processor. You want to make the Oreo into little crumbs like this. Add your butter at this point and mix together with a fork. Lay your buttery Oreo crumbs out on a cookie sheet and put in the freezer for 20 minutes. Once the Cookie crumbs have cooled scoop out your ice cream into a line right in the middle of the cookie crumbs. Cover your ice ream with the Oreo crumbs by pressing them against the ice cream. Put your ice cream roll back in the freezer for at least ten minutes and then cut into slices and serve!
